After three very successful virtual meetings organized by BESTPRAC and EARMA jointly, the collaboration between the two networks takes a step further and the BESTPRAC COST action is becoming a thematic group within EARMA! You can read more about the cooperation between the two networks here.

The first in-person meeting of the EARMA BESTPRAC Thematic group will take place in person in Belgrad (Serbia) on September 6-7, 2022 hosted by the University of Belgrade – School of Electrical Engineering and the Center for the Promotion of Science. As a flagship initiative training university students as potential future RMAs, foRMAtion will be showcased on the first day, among other initiatives providing knowledge exchange and capacity building for RMAs. Experiences from teaching the foRMAtion module, the seasonal school and the mentorship programme will be shared with more than 100 representatives of the European research management community by Cristina Oliveira, from NOVA University of Lisbon, and Virág Zsár, from HETFA Research Institute.

The EARMA-BESTPRAC Thematic Group meeting will be followed on, 8th September 2022, by the official kick-off of the RM ROADMAP project, funded by the Horizon Europe Programme and aiming at Creating Framework Conditions For Research Management To Strengthen The European Research Area. The RM-ROADMAP project will be led by the European Association of Research Managers and Administrators (EARMA). Members of the consortium include key network organisations, institutes and research-active companies in Hungary, Cyprus, Ireland, Portugal, Netherlands and Belgium; among others, also HETFA and NOVA from the foRMAtion partnership.

The official opening of the project will be broadcasted. The high-ranked speakers of the event include representatives of the European Commission, the COST Programme, as well as EARMA.
