On 12-14 October 2022, the ‘V4 Training for Research Project Managers’ was again organised in Brussels by the National Research, Development and Innovation Office of Hungary, in collaboration with the Polish Science Contact Agency, the Czech Liaison Office for Education and Science and the Slovak Liaison Office for Research and Development.
The V4 Training consisted of presentations and interactive sessions during which experienced research managers from the Visegrad 4 countries and beyond could get to know each other and share experiences and best practices. Organised twice a year, the main purpose of the training event was to increase the professional capacity of its participants by providing targeted information about the EU policies that have impact on their work, enhancing their networks and networking skills and creating opportunities to learn from best practices of other organisations.
Experts from liaison offices, the European Commission, universities in France and Belgium and from the HETFA Research Institute shared their experiences. Blanka Csite, Project Manager at HETFA’s Division for International Cooperation, presented forRMAtion’s innovative curriculum, teaching material and mentorship methodology along with further initiatives of HÉTFA related to research management, such as the Horizon Europe RM ROADMAP project and the V4+WB Network of RMAs project. The main objective of the showcased tools and platforms developed by these projects is to strengthen the competitiveness of research performing organisations by supporting the networking, education and up-skilling of research managers.
