After more than a year of constant work, the foRMAtion courses are being launched at our university partners: this week at the Universidade NOVA de Lisboa and Corvinus University of Budapest, next week at the Sapientia Hungarian University in Transylvania. Due to the pandemic, the courses are held online.
In the frame of the first class, experienced research managers were invited to share their first-hand-experiences with students. Mr Simon Kerridge, Director of Research Services at the University of Kent (UK), distinguished Member of the foRMAtion Advisory Board and Ms Virág Zsár, Head of Division for International Cooperation at HETFA Research Institute (HU) represented the project and shared their experiences regarding the RMA profession at the first class of Universidade NOVA de Lisboa (PT). Following the students’ questions vivid discussion took place in the online classroom. The two invited experts also shared how they chose this profession and what are its main benefits.
Similarly, students of Corvinus University were interested, what it means to be research manager. Ms Zsuzsanna Angyal, Senior Project Manager at the HETFA Research Institute, Coordinator of foRMAtion shared her experiences. Many questions were raised, including others: ‘What are the most relevant skills for the profession? What are the most exciting and challenging parts of the profession?’ While completing the course, students can deep-dive in the world of RMAs.
